Terms of Service
Last updated September 26, 2026
These terms cover your use of ClipInsight (clipinsight.com and the ClipInsight browser extension). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
The service
ClipInsight lets you save links to videos, articles and social posts (“clips”). For each clip we fetch the content, produce a transcript or text version, and generate an AI summary and topic tags. The service is in an invite-only beta: features, limits and these terms may change, and the service may be unavailable at times.
Your account
- You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, or with Google.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
- Plans (Free, Pro) and their monthly clip limits are described on the pricing page.
What you clip, and what's public
- Only clip content you're allowed to access. Don't use ClipInsight to get around paywalls, logins or other access controls.
- Clip pages are public. Anyone with a clip's link can see its title, source, thumbnail, tags and transcript or extracted text. AI summaries are only shown to the member who saved the clip.
- When you save a post with the browser extension, the text and image links it reads from the page become part of that clip, including its public page.
- You can delete your clips at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't use ClipInsight to:
- infringe anyone's copyright or other rights, or share content you don't have the right to share;
- save or publish illegal, abusive or harassing content;
- overload, scrape, probe or interfere with the service, or bypass its limits;
- resell the service or its output as your own product without our agreement.
We may remove clips or suspend accounts that break these rules.
AI-generated content
Summaries, tags and titles are generated by AI models and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important against the original source. Summaries aren't professional advice.
Content ownership
The original content belongs to its creators. ClipInsight doesn't claim ownership of what you clip. You keep any rights you have in your notes. You give us permission to store and process your clips as needed to run the service, including showing clip pages as described above.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe a clip page infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@clipinsight.com (placeholder, not yet monitored) with:
- the ClipInsight link(s) to the material;
- a description of the copyrighted work;
- your name and contact details;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We'll remove or disable access to the material and notify the member who clipped it. If they believe it was removed in error, they can send a counter-notice to the same address. We'll close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Ending your use
You can stop using ClipInsight at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, contact us at legal@clipinsight.com (placeholder, not yet monitored). We may suspend or end access to the beta, with notice where we reasonably can.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” during the beta, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, ClipInsight isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service.
Changes and contact
We'll update this page when these terms change and show the date at the top. Questions: legal@clipinsight.com (placeholder, not yet monitored).
